What's the maths in mapping?

We worked on mapping and figured out there is a lot of maths involved such as measurement, decimals, compass bearings, coordinates, direction, scale and many other aspects we discovered.

Some of us have been creating our own scale maps. We applied the skills of using scale to create a map into a context of our own choice within the school. The obstacle course was popular to measure and so was the library. We had to measure accurately. We then had to come up with a scale and convert our measurements to scale and create a map.

Check out our scale maps below!
